A bloody good cause

October

Let Dracula suck your blood this Halloween. He’s a professional.

At White Plains Hospital Center next Wednesday (Halloween), the staff will draw blood dressed in classic scary costumes for the hospital’s annual Halloween Blood Drive.

The hospital hosts the seasonal campaign each year to pump up its supply for the months of November and December when donors seem to be more scarce.

The hospital, located at E. Post Road and Davis Ave., is among one of the only facilities in the region with its own blood bank. The Blood Center typically gets 3-4 donations a day.

Blood donors should be between the ages of 17 and 75, weigh at least 110 pounds and be in good health.

For more information, call (914) 681-1056. Donors will receive Halloween treats and cookies.
