Greenwich to test ticks for Lyme and other diseases

The health department of Greenwich, Conn. will study the presence of Lyme disease and organisms in the community’s tick population, the Greenwich Times reports today.
The municipality has partnered with a private, New Jersey-based firm to see if there are other tick-borne illnesses to be found. This is the first and only time they will be able to test for other diseases, according to the news story.
